8th BioMAT 2025 - Symposium on Biomaterials and Related Areas

Current developments in the field of patient-specific implants were presented at this year's Biomat2025 conference in Weimar. A contribution from the DFG research unit 5250 entitled “From macro- to micro-scale: In-situ damage evolution of additively manufactured TPMS structures for medical applications” focused on novel approaches for the targeted adaptation and design of implants to individual tissue environments.
Particular attention was paid to the combination of biofunctional materials with cellular and molecular strategies to promote regeneration. The conference provided an excellent platform for interdisciplinary exchange on innovative concepts in the field of biomaterials and biomimetic material development.
Special thanks to the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) for funding this project (project number 449916462).
