Second Training of the DFG Research Unit 5250
Second training course of DFG Research Unit 5250 in Hannover
From February 20th to 24th, 2023, the second interdisciplinary training course of DFG Research Group 5250 with the subproject team members took place in Hannover. In this training, the soft skills of the scientists were promoted and interdisciplinary insights into simulation technology, additive manufacturing and medical technology were provided. At the Institute of Continuum Mechanics (IKM) of Leibniz University Hannover, the scientists were introduced to the basics of simulation through an interdisciplinary crash course. An introduction to additive manufacturing of metals at the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH) provided insight into the process from design to the finished component. The scientists were introduced to medical technology at the Clinic for Dental Prosthetics and Biomedical Materials Science at the Hannover Medical University (MHH).
