10th DVM Conference „Additiv gefertigte Bauteile und Strukturen“

Current research work from DFG research unit 5250 was presented at the 10th meeting of the working group „Additiv gefertigte Bauteile und Strukturen“ of the Deutscher Verband für Materialforschung- und prüfung e.V. (DVM).
The event took place at BMW Motorrad in Berlin and offered a varied program of presentations on current developments in additive manufacturing and the characterization of metallic structures. The scientific program was complemented by a factory tour, which provided insights into modern manufacturing processes and the high degree of automation in motorcycle production.
A contribution by the research group entitled “Characterization of the direction-dependent deformation and damage behavior of additively manufactured TPMS lattice structures” was awarded the DVM-Junior-Prize during the event.
